Cars & Carnivores Street Festival
March 25, 2023, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
In partnership with WakeMed Health & Hospitals, the Rotary Club of Wake Forest has launched an initiative to pay off past-due medical debt for cancer patients in the Wake Forest community. The program, called "Wake Forest Medical Debt Relief," aims to alleviate financial stress for patients and their families during difficult times.
To raise funds for this initiative, the Rotary Club of Wake Forest is hosting a Cars and Carnivores Street Festival on March 25th, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM in Downtown Wake Forest, featuring classic cars, delicious food, and a steak cookout competition. Proceeds from the festival will pay off past-due medical debt for cancer patients at WakeMed Health & Hospitals. By supporting this initiative, donors can make a real impact on the lives of cancer patients and their families. With your help, we can give them one less thing to worry about as they focus on their health and recovery.
Come and enjoy the festival, and know that your support is making a difference in the lives of those in our community. Join us in showing our support for cancer patients and their families. Donations can also be made directly to the Wake Forest Rotary Foundation's “Wake Forest Medical Debt Relief” initiative. Please get in touch with Brad Walker at 919-745-0377 or wakeforestrotary@gmail.com for more information or to donate. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer and support our community members during difficult times. We look forward to seeing you at the festival, and thank you for your support!
Fundraiser for Medical Debt Relief
The Rotary Club of Wake Forest in North Carolina made a significant impact in 2020 in the Wake Forest community by erasing $169,000.00 of past-due medical debt for residents. This initiative not only helps to alleviate financial stress for individuals and families but also has a positive ripple effect on the overall well-being and economic stability of the community.
Benefits of the "Wake Forest Medical Debt Relief" initiative:
- Reducing financial stress: By paying off past-due medical debt, individuals and families are relieved of the burden of high medical bills and can focus on their physical and emotional well-being.
- Improving credit scores: Paying off past-due medical debt can also improve credit scores, making it easier for individuals to access loans, credit cards, and other financial services in the future.
- Boosting the local economy: When high medical bills do not burden individuals and families, they are more likely to spend money on other goods and services, which can help to boost the local economy.
- Demonstrating community support: The Rotary Club of Wake Forest’s initiative shows that the community cares about the well-being of its residents and is willing to take action to support them.
The Rotary Club of Wake Forest’s initiative to pay off past-due medical debt is a prime example of how a community can come together to support its residents and improve the overall well-being and economic stability of the area. The benefits of this initiative are far-reaching and demonstrate the positive impact that can be made by taking action to support those in need.
