Join us at Date Night Drive In / Silents Under the Stars for a screening of Buster Keaton's Our Hospitality at the historic Paramount Ranch. Co-hosted by Hollywood Heritage. Sponsored by Music in Motion.

Your donations go towards helping restore the historic buildings at Paramount Ranch that were destroyed by the Woolsey Fire in 2018.

Keaton's second feature film is one of his most endearing, as he plays a young man raised in New York returning to the Appalachian homestead he has inherited from his grandfather.  His arrival "home" finds him in the middle of a feud between his relatives and their rivals that has been raging for generations.  Hilarious complications ensue when he falls in love with a young woman from the rival family, portrayed by Natalie Talmadge Keaton, Buster's real-life wife.

Keaton's skill at creating elaborate visual comedy sequences amid subtle and pointed reactions is on full display.  Join us for this timely screening with feuding that will inspire more than a few much needed laughs.  Live musical accompaniment will be composed and performed by Michael Mortilla .

A live Pre-Show concert of musical entertainment will be presented by Will Ryan and the Cactus Cowboys starting at 7:45pm.  The screening will start at dusk, approximately 8:15pm.  Here's a video of the band performing 'The Outlaws are Coming'  -  filmed at Paramount Ranch:

The feature is shown courtesy of Lobster Films and Blackhawk Films.

Gates open at 6.30pm. Come early and tailgate with your own picnic.  Enjoy tours of the ranch with movie historian Mike Malone. Head to Panera Bread, Westlake Village on Lindero Canyon Road and pick up some dinner.  You will need to mention the code PRFUND when you check out to ensure 20% is donated to Paramount Ranch.

Join us for a wonderful evening of film and music to help support the reconstruction of the historic buildings at Paramount Ranch - the only movie ranch that is in a national park. You will also hear more about why this project is so important for movie history in Southern California and around the world.
