On Friday, September 17, 2021, I will be embarking on a 100k (62 mile) fundraising bike ride to benefit pediatric brain tumor research. We will ride from St. Barnabas Parish on the South Side of Chicago to Long Beach, Indiana. For many, this will be the longest ride they have ever attempted.
The ride honors the life of my son Patrick McNamara. At the age of 2, Pat was diagnosed with a brain tumor. During his short life, he endured more than 15 brain surgeries, countless rounds of chemotherapy and multiple radiation treatments. Through it all, he never lost his winning spirit and love for family and friends. Patrick died at the age of 13 from the ravages of the disease. My wife Dee and I established the charitable foundation "Pat Mac’s Pack" in hopes that we can help improve the lives of other kids like Patrick and someday find a cure for pediatric brain tumors.
Pat Mac’s Pack is a 501 (c)(3) charitable foundation established to raise funds for pediatric brain tumor research. The organization also provides funds and services directly to young cancer patients and their families. In addition, the foundation works to raise awareness about this devastating disease.
I hope you will consider sponsoring me with a donation of any amount. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
