Texas Tipsy Chicks Paddling for Operation Get Out
It's Time to Rise Up and Shine!
We are paddling for an amazing cause and asking you to help support the mental and emotional wellness of our front line responders! Get Out Girl is part of Operation Get Out, an Austin-based 501c3 that provides Blue Mind experiences, outings and events for front line workers, veterans, agencies and individuals dealing with stress, illness, loss, anxiety and PTS. Their mission is based in the science of "Blue Mind" that supports water as a scientifically validated, natural remedy and therapy. The non-profit began in honor of Kristin McLain and Jessica Hollis, two female Travis County first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty six months apart. Both Kristin and Jessica utilized water and nature for their own mental and emotional well being.
All proceeds from this event will go towards our goal of raising $100,000 for 400 inflatable paddleboards, backpacks, air pumps, and paddles through Operation Get Out, a nonprofit 501c3 that provides equipment and experiences where #waterismedicine. In a time where so many resources have been taken away, the message that #waterismedicine is so important, easily, and always accessible. The wave of recent fear, anxiety, depression, and life changes has had a ripple effect on the majority of our mental and emotional states. And even more devastating is that the data is showing that 2020 will bring PTS, suicide, and substance abuse rates to an all-time high for our first responders and front line workers.
Please help support this much-needed cause. Every dollar you donate will go directly to help support first responders, veterans, and front line workers.
