“Believe you can do it and you will.”

Help support Music Changing Lives (MCL) with the purchase of one acre of land in San Bernardino, CA to develop our Urban Garden Initiative by not only donating, but helping to create and design fundraising events, and secure funders and sponsors. This could include designing local events for the community as well as finding and reaching out to ongoing funders that would be interested in supporting MCL's work.

About Our URBAN GARDEN INITIATIVE

Location:

261 W. 40TH ST., SAN BERNARDINO, CA 92407, US

Mission Statement:

The Urban Garden Initiative is powered by Music Changing Lives a 501(c)(3) organization that aims to inspire and empower youth to achieve sustainability through a holistic approach including music, art, financial literacy, civic engagement, food stability, and gardening-based programs.

Project Description:

We are developing a Public-Private Partnership that aims to increase the environmental and food sustainability education that youth are currently receiving. We are an award-winning organization that provides enrichment workshops and programs on school campuses and in community centers and now offer virtual programs across the U.S and Belize and are looking to expand our programs to other cities to reach more youth. During these workshops, we cover a variety of art mediums, civic engagement, and environmental and gardening discussions ranging from financial literacy, business ownership, policy change, climate change to food sustainability. We also have partnered with the Inland Empire Health Plan along with the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District with the goal of teaching students how to reduce their carbon footprint, start businesses, and gardens to grow their own food as well.

WHEN

Our goal is to secure all funding by January 2, 2023.

WHERE

This is a Virtual Opportunity, however, we'll have a few outdoor fundraisers, but online contributions are our focus.
