PLEASE HELP. Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed the 2024-2025 budget and vetoed ALL state funding for the arts in Florida. This unprecedented decision  will negatively impact our community which thrives on the creativity and economic vitality generated by the arts.

The loss of state funding will not only affect the MDCA's operations, but also the lives of the individuals who benefit from its art programs, a critical service that brings joy, creativity, and enrichment to the community. It is essential for MDCA to explore alternative revenue streams and seek out new partnerships or donors to help bridge the funding gap in order to continue providing these vital services to the community.
