Silent Auction: Nov. 9-17, ends at our Outcry Auction evening
Outcry Auction evening: Nov. 17, doors open at 5:00 PM
Juneau Gastineau Rotary (JGR) continues to host its annual auction that is evolving and growing to incorporate a virtual facet as well as in-person fellowship amongst members and guests. One of the main beneficiairies of this event is The Rotary Foundation, where raised funds benefit many local and global projects upon which Rotary International concentrates: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment. Local projects vary from district to district, however all are centered around improvement and needs of local communities. For JGR, Juneau's youth and families have benefitted through such endeavors as building and/or maintenance of several school and neighborhood playgrounds and Auke Lake family shelter, remodeling Zach Gordon kitchen, hosting of Family Fishing Day at the Lake and Free Skates at Treadwell Arena, sponsoring Salvation Army families in need and bell ringing as well as SEAFB food drives, providing funding to Spruce Root House, and also funding several annual UAS scholarships, to name a few. Your generosity during this event is literally felt from one to thousands of miles away. Thank you for joining us!
