Juneau Gastineau Rotary (JGR) continues to host its annual auction that is evolving and growing to incorporate a virtual facet as well as in-person fellowship amongst members and guests. One of the main beneficiairies of this event is The Rotary Foundation, where raised funds benefit many local and global projects upon which Rotary International focuses: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment. Local projects vary from district to district, however all are centered around improvement and needs of those local communities. Additionally, Juneau's youth has also benefitted in supporting the many programs and scholarships provided locally. Our projects in Juneau have benfitted many youth, individuals in need, and the community as a whole. Your generosity during this event is literally felt from one to thousands of miles away. "Will sharpen successful bidder's kitchen knives, includes delivery of dangerously sharp items to bidder's home. Can do both European 20 degree bevel or Asian 15 degree bevel. Cannot do Damascus steel. Can touch up serrated edges but not return them to original condition. Return of sharpened items within two days so you won't starve."

Foundation Annual Fund

Your donation will assist The Rotary Foundation fund specific projects and global grants in their seven major focus areas: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment. In addition, the Annual Fund can also return to individual Rotary clubs in the form of district grants which have funded such projects as Project Playground, our lake shelter, and much more.
