The First Steps PTO is delighted to announce this year's KidFest on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00pm! Once again we're outside at a special location: Leslie Science & Nature Center, 1831 Traver Rd 48105. Joe Reilly performs his fabulous family concert as the First Steps Early Childhood program celebrates 23 years of offering their wonderful program to families in our community. Join the fun and help us raise scholarship funds so more families can participate this year. There's a lot happening at our 10th annual KidFest!
What to Know 
- Arrive at 3:00pm to enjoy FUN family activities and check out our online silent auction
- Joe's concert is from 4:00-4:45pm
- Bring blankets and snacks and be aware the ground may be damp
- Purchase tickets in advance if possible
KidFest is entirely outside so be sure to bring blankets to sit on and snacks and water for your family. Folding chairs are welcome when placed at the back of the area. Please purchase tickets ahead of time so you receive helpful reminders. Tickets are also available onsite.
We have access to an inside bathroom and we know you'll enjoy all that Leslie Science & Nature Center has to offer too.
Joe Reilly begins the KidFest family concert at 4:00pm with songs that will get you moving. He encourages active participation with dancing and singing. Concert ends at approximately 4:45pm. Joe Reilly's performance is underwritten by Allen Creek Preschool.
Online Silent Auction: Saturday, May 4th, 8am - Sunday, May 5th, 9pm
Bidding opens on Saturday, May 4 at 8am. Be sure to see all the great offerings and keep track of the ones you want.
Bidding is all online and will close on Sunday, May 5 at 9pm. If you're a winner, gift cards and certificates will be mailed or emailed to the winners and all other items will either be picked up at the Westerman Preschool & Family Center, 2775 Boardwalk Dr or, if you live in Ann Arbor it might be delivered to your home. This will be arranged after you've been awarded the item.
First Steps PTO's mission
Our mission is to ensure that families with children, birth to entry into kindergarten, can participate in the First Steps-Ann Arbor program and receive the parent education and family support so fundamental to their future success.
All proceeds from Kid Fest go directly to support family scholarships. Last year the First Steps PTO helped more than 150 children have access to this important program. You can help create even more opportunities for families by purchasing tickets and attending KidFest!
