Career exploration improves new Arrival’s knowledge of career options, encouraging them to develop and work toward goals during the critical years, with a better understanding of the working world, young people can be more easily envision how they fit successfully into that world. Knowing the preparation they will need for specific careers, participants also become better able to set realistic goals for themselves and pursue them.

Employment Services Session provides educational opportunities for New Arrivals to learn about key career readiness skills and topics. are delivered by our trainers. The Webinar area is a gamut of topics including resume tips, navigating a career, and exploring majors to name a few. it also provides new arrivals an opportunity to develop new skills and positive work habits which will ensure professional success. - To explore the right career in a new community with opportunities
- Understand the best way to approach employers and online job search
- Understand the key sections of resumes and cover letters used and expected by employers.
- Learn how to highlight experience and education in a detailed and organized manner within a resume and/or cover letter.
- Understand the different types of interviews that employers may conduct.
- Learn how to best prepare for an interview (including what to wear).
- Learn how to optimize a LinkedIn profile and other tips.
- Receive feedback from career advisors on LinkedIn profiles.
