CONVERGENCE: Annual Art Auction 2022

Celebrating the power of the arts to bring people, ideas and perspectives together in support of the Donkey Mill Art Center.
$96,949 Goal $80,000
121% Complete

The Donkey Mill Art Center’s 15th annual art auction, CONVERGENCE, celebrates the power of the arts to bring people, ideas and perspectives together in unity to inspire individual and collective well-being. As a place of convergence for the exploration of arts and culture, the Donkey Mill is honored to feature over 75 works by emerging and established artists from Hawaiʻi and beyond.

Starting February 5, art enthusiasts are invited to the Donkey Mill to view, CONVERGENCE in-person. This exhibition is self-guided; however, you may want to experience a docent-led tour of the works on either Saturday, February 5, or Saturday, February 19 for the inside scoop. Tours require an advance reservation as capacity is limited; reservations can be made online at www.donkeymillartcenter.org. Once you’ve picked out your favorite pieces, you can bid online for any of the silent auction items February 12 - February 26. While registration for the online silent auction is free, a suggested donation of $25 directly supports our arts organization and helps us reach our financial goal.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Join the ONLINE SILENT AUCTION

Begin by registering for the online silent auction in order to bid on artwork by following the “Register” button on this page. While registration for the online silent auction is free, a suggested donation of $25 is recommended and helps us reach our financial goal. Once you complete your registration, you will receive an email with a custom event link which you will use to bid on items. Do not share this link with anyone as it’s unique to you and allows you to continue bidding on items under your name.

2. Join us on February 26 for the LIVE AUCTION EVENT (ticketed)

If you like what you see in the live auction, please join us for an in-person, ticketed event on February 26 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. It will be a festive evening of live music, cocktails, heavy pupu and spirited bidding on a special selection of art pieces. Tickets are available for purchase under the “tickets” section and are very limited. The silent auction will conclude at 6:30pm HST during the event, with the live auction happening outside on the lawn from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. Guests attending this event must abide by COVID safety precautions. Bidding by proxy can be arranged, please contact us to arrange set up: info@donkeymillartcenter.org.

3. View all the artwork at the Donkey Mill (free!)

Starting February 5, if you live on Hawai'i Island, or will be safely traveling to the island, we encourage you to visit the Donkey Mill Art Center in person, during our business hours (Wed-Sat 10a-6pm) to see the work in person for the entire month of February. Masks are required when visiting our space. We also have scheduled docent tours so you can hear first-hand a bit more about the work.
