Supporting the Council on Aging's SmileMaker's Holiday Gift Project

Hi Friends and Family,

I am excited to share with you an amazing campaign and virtual event that I am supporting this year, the 2020 An Evening of Comedy.

As a dedicated supporter of the Council on Aging this event is important to me because I sit on the board of directors and the mission of the organization resonates closely with me. The SmileMakers Holiday Gift Program is one of my favorite events where we make a real impact in the lives of senior citizens during the Christmas season. The SmileMakers program and the volunteers directly provides senior citizens who may not otherwise receive gifts, a present during this special time of year.

Please join me as I need your help to raise these vital funds to support the Council on Aging's SmileMaker’s Holiday Gift Program and help me reach my fundraising goal of $750. No gift is too large or too small.

This annual event is unique this year due to COVID -19 and the inability to hold the Evening of Comedy Gala at the hotel. Instead, it will be a live streamed comedic hour of humor, fun and compassion for their mission.

Three amazing comedians, Jay Mohr, Fritz Coleman and Frances Dilorinzo will be entertaining us on October 3rd, from 7:00pm-8:00pm PST. Free viewing is available on YouTube or Facebook Live. The virtual fundraising campaign effort to support this important program will take place from July 1st – October 3rd, 2020.

Just as in years past, this special campaign will directly support their SmileMakers Holiday Gift Program and other services for thousands of lonely, isolated seniors. But without a silent or live auction as part of the event this year, it is your personal contribution that will provide the necessary funding to support this program.

This event is hosted by the Council on Aging – Southern California (COASC) which provides a wide range of free programs and services to over 240,000 seniors in a 5 County area, helping them remain healthy, connected and protected.  You can learn more about COASC www.coasc.org.

Thank you for joining me in making a difference in the lives of seniors in nursing homes in our local SoCal communities.
