Coreopsis SunKiss is a breakthrough in seed. Coreopsis grandiflora SunKiss is the brightest yellow with a large deep red blotch. Excellent heat-tolerant plant for novice and expert gardeners alike – reliable, easy to grow and the colour blends well with almost everything.  Coreopsis lanceolata Lance-leaf tickseed grows in small clumps but forms extensive colonies. It is 1-2 1/2 feet tall with yellow flower 1-1 1/2 inches across. Coreopsis linifolia Savannah coreopsis. With cheerful yellow flowers, this plant produces flowers singularly or in few bunches on leafless stems. Flowering in late summer this species does best in moist soils. A very slender plant with thick leaves it grows well among native grasses. Butterflies and bees are attracted to this species. Birds will eat the seeds as well. Coreopsis leavenworthii, or Leavenworth’s tickseed, is an annual or short lived perennial plant species in the sunflower family. It is often grouped within Coreopsis tinctoria which it resembles. Coreopsis leavenworthii typically grows 30 to 70 cm (12-28 inches) tall with yellow flower heads that sometimes have reddish-brown blotches at the base of the ray florets. The foliage is 1 or 1.5 pinnately to bipinnately compound with entire edges,[3] and elliptic to oblanceolate to linear.

The flowers are deep-scarlet and over 6 in. in width. A large plant with big, showy, crimson flowers in upper leaf axils.This very showy species, typical of the mallow family, is sometimes cultivated. It is certainly one of the loveliest of our native flowers. Valued for its attractive flowers, this small-statured mallow blooms in summer and fall. Its flowers are cream colored with a dark red center, the petals appearing pleated with scalloped edges. In moist garden soil, it can live up to 6 years and attain a height of up to 6 bushy feet, though 3 feet is more common. Hibiscus grandiflorus Giant Rose Mallow The five pink petals of swamp rose-mallow flowers each have a red to purple center, are 4-6 in. long, and surround many stamens. Flowers nod slightly from leaf axils and occur singly. Velvety, alternate leaves are heart-shaped, three-lobed, and toothed. Seed pods are also velvety. This shrub-like, herbaceous to somewhat woody plant grows to 6 ft. tall or more. Hibiscus moscheutos Crimsoneyed Rosemallow This is a 3-8 ft., shrubby perennial with numerous sturdy stems arising from a single crown. The large, heart-shaped leaves are grayish-green above and hairy-white below. The showy, five-petaled, creamy-white flowers have a conspicuous band of red or burgundy at their bases from which a tubular column of yellow stamens extends.
