Put your Hands, Head, & Heart into it! Get up and move with Henry, Coral, Fern, Cora, Nessie, Ryan, Lydia, Ayla, Mhayah, Amelia, Georgia, Alynda, & Mackenzie!
Movin' & Groovin' is a fundraising event. It raises $18,000 annually. Students collect pledges from friend & family sponsors while they “move and groove” daily for a marathon's worth of days (26 days). Walk, run, jump rope, hop, skip, unicycle — even raking leaves counts towards the daily 15-30 minutes in this marathon of movement.
As a friend or family member of AWS, we invite you to sponsor your favorite student(s). The goal for each participant is $175. Flat-rate donations are also welcome! Our goal is to build an outdoor, covered, movement pavilion this year.*
Be sure to encourage & cheer on your "team"; meet up for a hike, a bike ride, or other activity. Each student completes a weekly movement journal. The grades class that completes the most days wins a pizza party!
Movin' & Groovin' ends on Friday, October 29. Your donation to Alabama Waldorf School is tax-deductible. *Funds raised are part of the general operations budget.
