Please contribute to reaching my goal of $4,000 for our 10-day service trip to Kenya this July to open hearts, share yoga and empower one another to keep shining bright!!!

Join me in contributing (or traveling with us!) on our upcoming Rising Voices Seva Safari!  This 10-day Seva journey to Kenya will transform lives, encourage personal growth, open the hearts and minds of people all over the world to share their stories and raise their voices.

Upon our arrival, we'll meet our Austin Yoga Project family and work as a team!   Together we’ll venture into Nairobi and in neighboring villages to invite people everywhere to share their personal stories and, speak their truth and experiences. We are excited to come together to listen, connect, learn, heal, and grow during this trip. We come together to laugh, to sing, to dance, to shout. We come together to celebrate life AS IT IS, wherever we are in the world.

Africa Yoga Project has made an incredible impact in Africa and around the globe and has an inspiring story.  I urge you to visit the website to learn more!  www.austinyogaproject.com

AFRICA YOGA PROJECT

Africa Yoga Project delivers global wellbeing in and from Africa. We practice and teach Yoga with a deep conviction that the potential to change the world lives in each of us. Our bodies and minds must be connected in order to create lasting change. We deliver tools to bring wellbeing to the world, one body at a time.

MISSION

Africa Yoga Project train Global Wellbeing Leaders in & from Africa...

Africa Yoga Project Educates, Empowers, Elevates and Expands Employability with youth in Africa using the transformational practice of yoga. Our vision is to create opportunities for youth to step into their greatness and become self-sustaining leaders in their communities.

OUTREACH

A key element of the Africa Yoga Project program is our outreach yoga classes where our instructors both give back to the community and hone their skills as a yoga instructor. Africa Yoga Project teachers are reaching over 6000 people a week in the 300 free community classes.  They are in over 80 locations throughout the informal settlements of Nairobi which includes schools, orphanages, deaf centers, special needs schools, prisons, and HIV/AIDs treatment centers. They also have teachers in the Masai villages of Amboselli. Each of AYP's teachers is committed to sharing yoga with 5 outreach classes per week.  They empower them to find the outreach classes themselves within their own communities which creates connection and community.

AYP's teachers in Kenya, currently provide classes in the following locations among others: Kariobangi, Kibera, Kasarani, Kangemi, Dandora, Thika, Machakos, Kiambu, Kayole, Buru Buru, Mathare, Uthiru among others.
