STEAM Program

We hope to level the playing field for women in STEAM by motivating and helping young women in high school to pursue a career in the STEAM field. In the upcoming year, we hope to launch a tutoring program and provide certifications for courses completed. This normally costs between $20-$50 per hour for tutoring and about $50 per course for each students. As we expand we would like to offer  mentorship, college application workshops, webinars, reviewing resumes and mock interviews for job application. 

Financial Literacy/ Money 101 Workshops 

A three week class, to support individuals in being financially independent and empowered. You will learn:

• How your thoughts impact your money
• Set yourself up for success
• Increase your income
• Savings - it's easier than you think
• How and when to use credit

Investing 101 is a multi-part course providing A Financial Roadmap for Your Life. 

• Part 1 is Investing Basics for the beginning investor. It covers definitions of industry jargon, trading basics, investing tips and different types of investment vehicles. 
• Part 2 focuses on Buying Your First Home. 

A scholarship would enable a young person to get a head start on two important ways to build wealth and better understand some of life's most important financial transactions. 

50/50 Youth Leadership Program Overview

The 50/50 Youth Leadership Program is an 8-week unpaid learning experience for first- or second-year female-identifying college student. The internship can be completed for credit. Interns will be assigned to one of 50/50 Leadership’s core teams and will have an opportunity to work on mission-driven projects alongside our team leaders. In addition to on-the-job learning, interns will benefit from our mentoring program, career coaching, and networking events. Interns will also gain leadership experience by serving as mentors for future program participants. 

Upon completion, interns will be given a $100 gift certificate, which is where you come in! We need your help to offer 5-7 interns gift certificates to show them our appreciation for their hard work.
