| 24x 36 framed encaustic (beeswax on rice paper). Traditionally, encaustic (or hot wax painting) uses heated beeswax and color pigmentation painted on a solic board or backing to avoid cracking if flexed. By painting on rice paper, and mounting the painting between panes of glass, the light is allowed to come from behind and through the translucent layers of wax. |
